Bowling Green Highs School students Dorothy Gonzales (from left) Nicole Castor, and Zach McCurdy, deliver over 200 boxes that the entire art department decorated for The Cookie Jar in Bowling Green. As one of the Youth Art Month activities this year, Bowling Green High School students teamed up with the Cookie Jar to create original artwork for the community. More then 200 students in beginning, intermediate and advanced art classes cooked up designs for the Cookie Jar’s cookie boxes. Original cookie monsters, cookie contraptions, designs based on various artist and cookie ingredients are some of the themes for this year’s boxes. Starting today, shop visitors can receive an original art piece when ordering a box of cookies. Customers can visit the Cookie Jar at 130 E. Court St. to claim this sweet art. They are then asked to Instagram the cookie box: #BGsweetart14. (Photos: J.D. Pooley/Sentinel-Tribune) |
